Career Day

Career day is show and tell. On career day you get to talk about your profession to students and hope the kids are interested enough to ask questions. Hopefully a few of these kids will be inspired and realize that there is a wonderful career as an artist. Every year I try to attend at least two career days. This year i had the opportunity to present my comic strip Fouls and violations to grade school and middle school kids. I designed a handout for the kids to create their own version of Fouls and Violations. I was amazed how much fun I had watching the kids write and draw their interpretation of what a Basketball referee would do in conflict.Big shout out to the students in PS/IS 76 on 121st street in Harlem, NY and The Brooklyn Brownstone School on MacDonough Street in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn, NY. IMG_8268
